What to Wear and What Not to Wear

Every year the annual office Christmas party is announced. Excitement spreads around the office and the party preparation begins! Yet, for many there is still one worry...what on earth are they going to wear?!

What Not to Wear...

(1) Avoid unflattering frumpy clothes. Nobody wants to look like a tent from a camping shop after all, instead opt for flattering clothes for your figure, rather than hiding away.

(2) Don't underdress. Going for that sexy short skirt can be tempting, but it may not be appropriate for an Office Christmas party, especially if clients or the big boss is there.

(3) Try to avoid going too casual. Although remember, informal wear still can be worn, as long as it is teamed with a nice top or accessories.

(4) Don't go over the top. Stay appropriate for the event. If it's a ball, there's no reason why not you shouldn't get your ball gown out, but if it's a disco at your local hall, it may be somewhat inappropriate.

(5) Avoid the power suit. Your daily work suit is probably best left to everyday usage. Relax and choose something a bit more fun!

What to Wear...

(1) The infamous little black dress has never failed yet. The beauty of this outfit is that it's simple and can be used from year to year. It can easily be altered by using accessories too, making it probably one of the most variable and flexible outfits.

(2) Christmas is a time to get out those special and luxurious outfits. Choosing clothes made from luxurious materials, such as velvet and silk will certainly exude class.

(3) Use accessories to add a little class and formality to your outfit, if going a little more casual. Jewellery can really make an outfit.

(4) You don't necessary have to really dress up, if you want to keep it simple, instead, opt for trousers and a nice top.

(5) Don't be afraid to get those sparkly outfits out either, it is after all Christmas!
